Making Scents of Herbs - Saturday, January 8
Herbs create fragrances and flavors that we use in food, cosmetics, and medicines. Learn about different plant parts, identify their functions, and discover which of them we use every day. Participants visit the Herb Garden to see edible plants and make tea bag blends to take home.

Celebrating Black Botanists & the Legacy of Dr. George Washington Carver - Saturday, February 12
Learn how plants played an important role in the lives of Dr. Carver, Dr. Marie Clark Taylor, Edmond Albius, and Percy Gentle. Participants explore some plants Dr. Carver worked with, using plants to paint and to create a lotion to take home.

Bugging Out! - Saturday, March 12
Bugs are all around us! But where do they go in the wintertime? Explore the world of bugs by examining the parts of a live insect, building your own clay creepy crawly, and searching for bug homes in the garden.

Kitchen Gardening - Saturday, March 26
You can garden in the winter too! Participants learn about all the different ways to grow plants and even plant a few to take home. Class includes a sneak preview of the Children's Garden seedlings in preparation for the spring.
