Mother's Day at the New York Botanical Garden is abloom with activities, music, crafts, and face painting—not to mention walking tours packed with colors and gorgeous spring scents.
Games and outdoor fun on Daffodil Hill include garden party activities like croquet and bean bag toss, ladder toss, and giant chess.
The Daffodil Hill Stage is set up for a DJ Dance Party featuring Bronx-based DJ collective Uptown Vinyl Supreme, a Bronx-based DJ collective and community organization paying homage to the analogue roots of music, party, and dance culture.

Crafting with Mom! 11am–4pm
Clay Family Picnic Pavilions
Join NYBG Volunteers for follow-along demonstrations.
- Draw and color a card for Mom using a template of botanical illustrations from the Garden’s archives.
- Join Materials for the Arts to use recycled materials to create a one-of-a-kind gift.
- Follow along to create a decorative paper magnolia designed by Charles Zimmerman,
