Lunar New Year Celebration
Because of the January snowstorm, this event was rescheduled for Saturday, February 5. Socrates Sculpture Park welcomes the Lunar New Year with a special workshop for kids, a self-guided scavenger hunt, and a tea blending activity.
Learn about the lunar cycle through a self guided scavenger hunt that invites visitors to explore the grounds and artwork of Socrates Sculpture Park.
Enjoy hot tea using herbs that grow in the Socrates garden by a communal fire, and make your own tea blend to take home at a dry herb bar.
Don't miss the light sculpture workshop in collaboration with the Noguchi Museum led by educator Harumi Ori, geared towards families with children 5-11 years old (pre-registration required).
All participants 5 years and older must be able to provide proof of vaccination upon request and masks are required during the workshop. The workshop is situated in a semi-outdoor space with space heaters. Wear extra layers to stay warm.
Three workshop times available (please note each workshop is 45 minutes long):
12:30pm
