Clothing historian and Mantua maker Brooke Welborn pieces, sews, and fits a new 1820s dress for Ms. Cheyney over the course of two days from beginning to end. Families discover the history of seamstresses in New York and changes that came in clothing construction in the 19th century. Drop by to cheer on the dressmakers, and learn more about how clothing was made!

Please note that this is not a drop-off program—child participants must be accompanied by an adult.
