The Annual Columbus Day Parade

Over 35,000 people participate in the Columbus Day Parade in New York City each year, processing up Fifth Ave from 44th St to 72nd St (with red carpet performances on Fifth Avenue between 67th and 69th Streets), including high school bands, professional musicians, folk dance troupes, floats and more. It's the largest celebration of Italian-American culture in the world, attracting over a million spectators per year.

 The NYC Columbus Day Parade takes place on the second Monday in October.
