Folk Art: Mexican Day of the Dead at Pelham Art Center
Renowned artist Zafiro Romero-Acevedo returns to the Pelham Art Center to share the history of one of Mexico’s richest cultural traditions. Festivities include a live performance by Mariachi Artístico, a free children’s workshop, and cultural items made in Mexico for available for purchase.
Families are invited to bring one memento of their passed loved ones (including four legged friends), along with their name and contact information, to be placed on the Ofrenda, which will be displayed at the art center’s windowsill.
Please note: Do not bring anything valuable!
The drop off dates are on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 (between 9am-5pm) through Saturday, October 26, 2024 (between 10-4PM). Pick up is Sunday, October 27, 2024 (by 4pm). Participation is first come, first served.
