Brooklyn FAM: Festival of Arts and Music 2023
Brooklyn Fam's 2023 theme is multi-sensory storytelling for transformative healing, with a vibrant, truly unique celebration of West African, Jewish, and Arab cultures.
On the main stage, enjoy West African dance-theater, solo kora, Jewish-themed puppet theater, a Klezmer quintet, Palestinian folkloric dance, an Iraqi-led maqam quartet, and Palestinian and West African dance workshops.
On adjoining lawns, participate in a Community Circle of Jewish niggunim improvisational singing, West African drumming, and conversations facilitated by the Interfaith Center of New York.
Make your mark on a new, beautiful public art project titled Let the Sun Shine In, and stop by storytelling art-making stations with community partners that include the Jewish Children’s Museum, Arab American Association of NY, and Kente Fest NY.
Note: Free tickets are available beginning Monday, October 9.
