Bread and Puppet: The Beginning after the End of Humanity Circus
Thu Sep 5, 2024
Various times
Age: All
Price: FREE ($10-$25 suggested donations appreciated)
Location:
Old Stone House & Washington Park
Bread & Puppet draws on traditional circus tropes to focus attention to the urgent issues of the day. Stilt dancers, paper maché beasts of all sizes and a riotous brass band make a raucous, colorful spectacle of protest and celebration.
Showtimes are 4pm & 8pm.
After the show Bread & Puppet serves its famous sourdough rye bread with aioli, and Bread & Puppet’s “Cheap Art” – books, posters, postcards, pamphlets and banners from the Bread & Puppet Press – are available for sale.
