Light Up Diwali: A Diwali Celebration at Montclair Art Museum
AAPI New Jersey’s Light Up Diwali festival returns to the Montclair Art Museum. This joyous gathering honors the diverse cultural traditions of the South Asian diaspora. Spend a magical afternoon enjoying vibrant music and dance performances, trying your hand at kid-friendly crafts, and capturing special moments in our photo booth.
Diwali, the festival of lights, commemorates a triumph of light over darkness and is a time for all to gather and celebrate new beginnings. Visitors have the opportunity to sit in on book readings by South Asian authors, learn about South Asian NGOs and Indian textiles, browse one-of-a-kind goods from local vendors, and indulge in sweet and savory bites from an array of food trucks. The museum’s galleries are open to explore with the price of admission.
