- see all dates
The circle of life comes to a close: Disney's The Lion King finishes its run at the El Capitan.
The all-star cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon. The film utilizes pioneering filmmaking techniques to bring the beloved characters to life.
As usual, the El Capitan offers exclusive experiences that make it one of the best places to see the film in LA. For a limited time before the start of movie, guests can step onto the historic El Capitan stage for a majestic Pride Rock photo op. They can also take photos in front of the immersive lobby mural wall and a Pumbaa and Timon themed photo op.
The Lion King is rated PG and has a run time of 1 hour and 58 minutes.
Daily showtimes are 10am, 1;15pm, 4:30pm, and 7:45pm, with an 11pm show on select days.
Tiny Tot screenings are the first screenings on the Tuesdays of the run.
Parking rates at the Hollywood & Highland Center are $3 for up to four hours with validation from El Capitan Theatre.
