The Queen of Katwe herself, Phiona Mutesi, visits the Bowers for a screening and discussion of Disney’s Queen of Katwe (PG).

The film tells the true story of Phiona, a young girl from the streets of rural Uganda whose life changes forever when she discovers her amazing talent for chess. 

Screening followed by a discussion with Phiona Mutesi. Guests can go to Kidseum afterwards for a chess demonstration with the Queen of Katwe herself!
