Free Comic Book Day is being celebrated at Comic Book stores and libraries across the Southland, but Golden Apple adds its own Pow! Zap! Boom! to the festivities.

In addition to the free comics, guests can get autographs from creators, free or specially priced refreshments and discounts on purchases.

Treats include a free Italian ice by The Ice Guy (while supplies last) and free ice cold waters courtesy of Comic-Con Revolution.

10am-12pm: Avengers/Deadpool/ GOTG Writer Gerry Duggan

10am-1pm: Blastosaurus team Richard Fiargray & Paul Eiding

1pm-3pm: Supergirl writer Marc Andreyko

1pm-3pm: Unearthians creator Omar Mora

FCBD is also on Star Wars Day (May the 4th). Coffee for Sasquatch next door offers a free Star Wars comic. 

Golden Apple's newest neighbors, Standings Butcher Shop,  grills $6 cheeseburgers and hands out free Bob's Burgers comic books.
