Art Without Walls: There’s More to Me Than What You See (Hammer)
Participants join Karina Esperanza Yánez in challenging stereotypes and celebrating their identity in this workshop inspired by the art of Adrian Piper.
About the Program:
Art can transcend barriers of all kinds. Participants create art inspired by social justice issues, children’s literature, and Hammer exhibitions.
ART WITHOUT WALLS is copresented by the Felipe de Neve Branch of the Los Angeles Public Library and the Hammer. The same event is held on Saturday at the library and Sunday at the museum. The same art-making activities occur at each site. The program at the Hammer Museum includes storytelling in the galleries. The program at the library is bilingual in Spanish and English.
Parking is available under the museum for a flat rate of $6 on weekends
Recommended for children ages 7 and up and grownups.
