I am Groot!  El Capitan audiences can see the all-new Marvel Studios'  I Am Groot short Magnum Opus before select showings of Thor: Love and Thunder.

In Marvel's latest release, the God of Thunder is on a journey unlike anything he’s ever faced – a quest for inner peace. But Thor’s retirement is interrupted by a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher, who seeks the extinction of the gods.

Thor: Love and Thunder debuts at the El Capitan Theatre.

More about the movie: to combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie, Korg, and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster, who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Christian Bale, Tessa Thompson, Taika Waititi (who also directs), and Natalie Portman

Extras at the El Capitan include a display of costumes from the film, and a Mighty Love and Thunder Laser and Light Show shown before the movie.

Please note Thor: Love and Thunder contains several sequences with flashing lights that may affect those who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or have other photosensitivities.

• The 7:30pm screening on July 13 and the 1pm screening on July 23 are Sensory Inclusive.
• The 1pm screening on July 16 is shown with Open Captions (on-screen subtitles).
• I am Groot: Magnum Opus screenings: before the 4:15pm showings on July 18 and 19, and the 1pm showings July 20 through July 24.

Thor: Love and Thunder has a runtime of 1 hour and 59 minutes and is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, language, some suggestive material and partial nudity.
