Calling inventors, creators, makers, crafters, tinkerers, artists, and scientists of all ages! Inventors Day at the Central Library is a free day of workshops, demos, presentations and giveaways.

Inventors Day brings a full day of entertainment for the Getty’s PST ART Downtown LA Weekend.

Guests can draw, craft, write song lyrics, catch a film, take a curator-led exhibition tour and more. Kids can make LED blossoms and listen to storytime; teens can explore the Mini Museum of Medical Quackery and make mobile art with motors.

Other highlights include jewelry tinkering, "scrappy" mending, conversations about toy design, cardboard construction in the courtyard, and guided tours of the museum.

This event celebrates the public library as a site of active creation and invention, where anyone can realize their inherent creative potential.
