Mission Viejo Memorial Day Ceremony
The City of Mission Viejo honors those who have served and given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. The ceremony includes guest speakers, a color guard, rifle salute, live vocals performances and taps.
2024's guest speakers include Colonel Matthew D. Lundgren, Commanding Officer of Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division; and Jeffrey Andrade, Veteran’s Administration, US Marine Corp, Retired.
Commander William Leber, American Legion Post 281 will light the eternal flame of remembrance in honor of the fallen and in recognition of the Vietnam POW/MIA’s.
Attendees receive a candle at the end of the ceremony and are encouraged to place it around the eternal flame memorial in remembrance of a fallen hero.
Coffee and light refreshments follow the ceremony.
