Girls in STEM Day is a one-day outdoor/indoor event that gives girls ages 8-18 the chance to participate in STEM activities, meet STEM professionals, and explore future career paths in a fun and engaging way.

Activities include a photo booth, scavenger hunt, tours of the tarpits with a museum educator, and crafty hands-on activities.  Girls can visit the Mobile Museum, meet scientists from the Natural History Museum and La Brea Tar Pits, and get up close to items from the museums' collections. 

There's a STEMinist Fair on the Great Lawn, with representatives from STEM-based organizations such as the CSULB Shark Lab, the LA Zoo, the Marine Mammal Care Center, and the Two Bit Circus Foundation, among others.

Event is included with Museum admission.
