Bob Baker created ¡FIESTA! more than fifty years ago as a “love letter to Latin America,” taking inspiration from his neighbors, as well as from his majority-Latin American team of puppeteers in Los Angeles. 

Last year, Bob Baker Marionette Theater presented a revised ¡FIESTA! that reflects a variety of voices, cultures, and traditions, and revitalizes this classic show for a new generation. ¡FIESTA! returns for a 2023 season filled with more exciting additions, surprises, and fun.

¡FIESTA! features a marionette lineup of dancing cacti and colorful birds, marimba maestros from Xochimilco, a brand new Día de Muertos sequence, and a newly outfitted marionette mariachi band inspired by Mariachi Arcoiris de Los Ángeles.
