Soak in the sun—and culture—at the Art League of Long Island's annual Art in the Park event in Huntington this weekend. In addition to wood work, paintings, and ceramics, there will be hands-on activities for the whole family, live art demonstrations, and live music.

Enjoy carnival games, rides, live music, and all things strawberry at the Nassau County Strawberry Festival in Bellmore.

Enjoy performances, birthday parties for kids, and readings of the poet's most celebrated works as you celebrate Walt Whitman's bicentennial birthday at the Walt Whitman Birthplace State Historic Site.

Held all weekend long, Cradle-Con is an opportunity for readers to meet local comic book creators. Collectors on the hunt for rare books and toys, cosplayers eager to show off some of their best work and gamers all have a chance to get their game on.
