Seatuck Environmental Association's Eco-Carnival
Join Seatuck as it celebrates Earth Day with its annual Eco-Carnival.
Now in its 11th year, the Eco-Carnival has grown into the premier Earth Day event on Long Island. Held at the 70-acre Suffolk County Environmental Center in Islip, the event attracts more than 2,500 people for a day of nature programs, live animals, music, art, games and food. The Eco-Carnival is presented by Seatuck in partnership with Suffolk County and the Town of Islip.
As a supplement the Eco-Carnival, Seatuck is adding the Wild & Scenic Film Festival to its 50th Anniversary celebration. The national film festival inspires environmental activism and a love for nature through film. Seatuck brought the festival to Long Island for the first time in 2019 with great success. This 2020 festival, which will be held at the YMCA Boulton Center in Bay Shore on Earth Day, Wednesday, April 22, promises to attract a sold-out crowd and be a wonderful evening of film and celebration. Doors will open at 6:30, with the show starting at 7pm. A pre-event reception for ticket holders will be held at Coastal Kitchen from 5 to 6:30pm, which will include a complimentary food buffet and cash bar. The reception will feature Earth-Day-themed cocktails, sales of which will benefit Seatuck.
