Camellia Festival at Planting Fields
- see all dates
Planting Fields is brightening up winter with its beautiful Camellia Festival, with the star of the weekend being the stunning Camellia Greenhouse - the largest of its kind in the Northeast, filled with hundreds of blooming camellia trees in every shade from soft pinks to deep reds and creamy whites. Complimentary guided tours are offered throughout the day and are a great way to learn a little history while soaking in all that color.
There’s also plenty happening inside the historic Main House, including live typewriter poets, tea tastings, hands-on art activities, watercolor painting, and camellia-inspired crafts that kids will love. It’s a nice mix of culture and creativity without feeling stuffy.
Greenhouse admission and parking are free, and Main House festival programming is ticketed, with children under three free.
