Learn about New York's freshwater ecosystems during this daylong program that includes animal encounters, invertebrate exploration, and kid-friendly crafts. 

  • Animal Encounters at 10:30am and 2pm: Discover the freshwater animals of New York and explore ways we can help protect them.
  • Spineless at 12pm-1pm: Dive into pond water samples and discover the exciting world of invertebrates that call our Spring Pond home.
  • Make Your Own Nature Suncatcher at 3pm-5pm: Gather natural materials from around the Hatchery and create your very own suncatcher to take home.
