Maker Faire Long Island
Maker Faire Long Island is returning for its sixth edition on June at the Long Island Explorium in Port Jefferson. This event is a celebration of creativity and innovation in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
This year's Maker Faire Long Island includes new exhibits and performances, including a demonstration of blacksmithing techniques and the return of the popular Saber Guild Endor temple.
Prepare to be mesmerized by The Royal Trumpets, a series of six towering kinetic pyrotechnic sound sculptures standing 15 feet tall. Guests can play them like a keyboard, creating your own music masterpiece.
At Pop! Draw, visitors have the chance to sketch the incredible cosplayers roaming the Faire or even become the star of your own artwork.
There is much more at the Long Island Explorium and the neighboring Port Jefferson Village Center and Harborfront Park.
Port Jefferson has parking lots a short walk to Maker Faire Long Island. Map for parking spaces can be found on the MFLI website found here.
