Take a break from holiday shopping as the Long Island Museum welcomes visitors with free admission all day for its annual winter open house. 

Five historic structures on the museum property include a real blacksmith shop and a one-room schoolhouse. The Art Museum shines with four exhibitions; Land by Hand: Edward Lange’s Long Island, Face Value: American Portraiture, Everything is Possible and  Wish You Were Here.
