This AdvoKids program focuses on Veterans Day by learning about veteran Tammy Duckworth.

Tammy Duckworth served in the National Guard and as a helicopter pilot and was injured during battle. She then went on to continue to serve her country and became a senator to make an even greater impact! Visitors will learn about Tammy Duckworth and then create a star streamer to celebrate and remember veterans.

AdvoKids is a monthly series focusing on children learning what it means to be an advocate for themselves and others. Adults will learn how they can support their child’s self-advocacy efforts, which promote confidence, resilience and empathy.
