Winter of the Snow Queen: An Interactive Musical Adventure at Stages
- see all dates
This joyful, all-ages production combines live performance, music, and interactive storytelling that keeps both kids and adults fully engaged!
Created in partnership with Houston refugee communities and co-produced with Brave Little Company, the show weaves global traditions and multilingual elements into a story rooted in local voices. Performed by a Houston-based ensemble, it’s filled with humor, heart, and festive energy.
Audience members play an active role in this wild winter adventure! On the darkest night of the year, children must beware the Snow Queen. When a boy goes missing from his village, his best friend is the only one who can rescue him—and the heroine needs your help to stop the Snow Queen! Kids and families will help guide the story, join in the songs, and ensure the friends are reunited. This original, interactive adaptation is inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale, with added twists from fairy tales around the world.
Make it a full family outing with free weekend lobby activities, including crafts, holiday cards, hot cocoa, and themed tattoos.
