Join Houston Humane Society Wildlife Center will host its first-ever 'Christmas in July' book drive. The event is open to the public and offers a great opportunity to give back to the community, create lasting memories and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children in Houston. 

The book drive will feature family-friendly activities including:

• Pictures with Summer Santa  

• Free sweet frozen treats for the first 50 guests 

• Outdoor games

• A reading and book signing by a local children's book author

• Tours of the HHS Wildlife Center   

Guests who donate five (5) books will have a chance to win raffle prizes valued from $35 to $350. Raffle tickets can also be purchased for $10 each. 

Houston Humane Society Wildlife Center is seeking new or gently used fiction and nonfiction small chapter books for elementary school aged children, which will be donated to Alief Montessori Community School and the wildlife center’s library.
