Mandell JCC Adds Two New Andrew Pinnock Camps to August Sports Lineup
With football season around the corner, the Mandell JCC has added two Andrew Pinnock Football Mini Camps to its Sports Jams lineup. Featuring former NFL player, Andrew Pinnock, the mini camps will take place on Saturday and Sunday, August 11-12 and Sunday, August 19, from 9:00 am-3:30 pm at the Mandell JCC’s summer site, The Swim & Tennis Club, 4 Duncaster Road, Bloomfield, CT.
Camp will be led by Andrew Pinnock, who played for the San Diego Chargers and the Denver Broncos over six seasons. While a senior at Bloomfield High School, Pinnock was named Mr. Football in 1998 for the state of Connecticut, and won both All-State and All-District honors. He is currently active in youth outreach programs specializing in leadership training and coaching football.
The first session, on August 11-12, will be for players entering grades 7 through 9, and the second session, on August 19, will be for children entering grades 2 through 6. Both camps will show athletes proper throwing and catching techniques, route running, jump cutting, blocking, and more.
Fees for the two-day program are $120 per person for non-members of the JCC, and $110 per person for all Mandell JCC members. For the one-day program, fees are $75 for non-members and $65 for Mandell JCC members. All levels of playing experience are welcome. For more information or to register, contact the Member Services Center at 860-236-4571 or contact Bonnie Hittleman-Lewis, blewis@mandelljcc.org.
The Mandell Jewish Community Center, Zachs Campus, 335 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT, is open to everyone and supported by funds raised by the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford, a recipient of funding from the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Hartford, and a member of the JCC Association of North America.
