From fiber to fashion, Philipsburg Manor’s Sheep-to-Shawl festival returns to welcome spring, with demonstrations and hands-on activities like yarn-dyeing and weaving to help depict the world of textiles in the 18th century. Also watch Scottish border collies herd sheep and ducks; try on period costumes; and watch a period fashion show. Storyteller Jonathan Kruk will be on hand to share lively tales.

New this year: create a picture from sheep or alpaca wool and meet the alpacas from Faraway Farm in Yorktown Heights.

In the Visitor Center, discover the exhibit Wearable Wealth: The Value of Cloth and Clothing in the 18th Century.

Refreshments available for purchase.

Purchase tickets in advance for a discount. The event is held April 22 and 23.
