Once in the Highlands, the Highlands of… Ventura?

Massed pipe bands, Scottish entertainers, clan tents, Highland dancing, sheep herding, military reenactments, a Children's Glen where kids can learn about bagpipes and sword fighting, and big men in kilts throwing things create a weekend of family fun.

Saturday's festivities include the gala Opening Ceremonies and the Grand Parade at noon.

Music plays continuously on multiple stages throughout the weekend. Other highlights include herding dog demos and a World War II military encampment.
