The long-time, beloved race tradition on Iron Horse features a picturesque two-loop 13.1 mile course along the Farmington River and local farmlands, with 10K and 5K race distance options.Participants in all race distances earn a short-sleeve race technical shirt and a custom finisher medal.

9:00 AM: HMF FitKids Run:  1/4 mile, 1/2 mile or 1 mile run for kids ages  2-11

NEW IN 2024: Take on the Spring Hustle to enjoy some extra motivation through the season! Choose the distances to personalize a challenge plan and achieve three race finishes in this new walker-friendly challenge. Start with the Middletown 5K or 10K on April 7, then choose any distance in Rocky Neck on April 21; and finish with any distance in Simsbury to crush the Spring Hustle and earn the special finisher medal.  

BACK FOR 2024: The ultimate state challenge…the Connecticut Double! Run the UConn Health Half in June and work up to the premier 26.2 mile experience in Connecticut at the Eversource Hartford Marathon on October 19. Take home the exclusive commemorative medal after finishing under the iconic Arch in Hartford.
