Learn how the sun helps make pictures and rainbows. Never look at solar energy the same. Students will make stunning cyanotype shadow pictures uising the power of the sun (or a UV flashlight if the day is overcast), then learn how rainbows are created in a process known as "thin film interference" with their own pictures and be able to apply that understanding to slick oil surfaces on roads or seen on bodies of water.

Pieces created will be brought home if dry Welcome to Imagine Nation's second annual summer immersion program.

Our drop-off programs begin at10:00am, but drop-offs are welcome starting at 9:45. Pickup time is 12:30. All days include the immersion program, a snack (please mention if your child has any allergies), and time to explore in the museum and/or learning park. This program is best suited for ages 7 and up due to some of the materials that will be handled.
