World class performances and educational activities await visitors of all ages at the Yale Peabody Museum's annual celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Day.
On Sunday, January 15, the New Haven Museum and the Peabody are teaming up for an afternoon of inspiring family programs celebrating Dr. King’s life and legacy, including live storytelling, an interactive dance and drum performance, and kid-friendly activities throughout the museum.
The MLK Poetry Slam is back on Monday, January 16! Influential poet-performers Croilot and Ngoma will emcee an electrifying spoken word experience in one of the largest auditoriums on Yale’s campus. A high-energy group performance and curated open mic will be followed by a slate of renowned slam poets.
Space is limited at both venues, so advanced registration is strongly recommended.
The events will also be live-streamed to the Facebook Page, YouTube Channel, or you can join us on Zoom by visiting our website and registering:
