Ice cream holds a special place in the hearts of Connecticut residents, serving as more than just a sweet treat to beat the summer heat, it has become a beloved cultural staple. Hear from historian, John Cilio, as he explores ice cream’s rich history and some of its local history that helped to define the state’s ice cream adventure. Learn about a special list of some hidden and not so hidden magical purveyors of ice cream across Connecticut. Create and enjoy an ice cream sundae sponsored by The Big Dipper Ice Cream Parlour in Prospect at the close of the program!
