Enjoy a scoop of large ice cream during a scenic 30-minute train ride through the Naugatuck River Valley.

The Naugatuck Railroad is offering a special version of this train to celebrate its 175th anniversary. Excursions will head past the restoration shop where historic railroad equipment is being brought back to life. Children can take part in an on board scavenger hunt, including items in the restoration shop, and receive a prize upon return to Thomaston Station.

Visitors are also invited to see an HO-scale layout set up by the Torrington Area Model Railroaders at Thomaston Station during this weekend's excursions.
