Campout at the Zoo
Lincoln Park Zoo hosts Camp Out at the Zoo, where families can explore the zoo and night, participate in fun activities, enjoy a campfire and s'mores, pitch a tent, and stay overnight in the zoo!
Sample Agenda The program agenda can look something like this (subject to change):
6–7 p.m. Check in, set up tents; optional add-on dinner at Park Place Café
7:15–7:30 p.m. Orientation and introductions
7:30–10 p.m. Tour and activities in various animal buildings; evening-only participants depart at 10 p.m.
10–10:30 p.m. Spend time relaxing at the campsite or take part in an optional late night activity
10:30 p.m. Lights out
7–8 a.m. Breakfast on the Park Place Patio
8–8:30 a.m. Morning tour or activity
8:30 a.m. Pack belongings and depart
All minors must be accompanied by a ticketed adult.
Each campout takes place rain or shine, but activities and the sleeping location will be moved indoors in the case of severe weather.
Families can choose to enjoy the evening activities and treats OR they can stay for the entire program and sleep overnight at the zoo.
Free parking is included in the cost of registration.
