RiverLab: World Water Day
Sat Mar 22, 2025
11:00am CT
Age: All ages
Price: Free
Celebrate World Water Day at River Park! Follow South Asian folk-art traditions under the guidance of artists Indira Johnson and Catherine Schwalbe. These tradition aim to situate the individual within a broader, universal context. Offerings crafted from leaves and flowers are ceremoniously floated in the rivers and seas of South Asia—spanning regions from India and Japan to Indonesia, Korea, and beyond. These acts of devotion express gratitude, seek blessings, and petition deities for life’s many needs. At its heart, this tradition is a ritual of hope and renewal, where the meditative process of creation itself brings Sadhana—or grace. T
