Woodcock Walk
Sat Mar 30, 2019
6:00pm to 8:00pm ET
Age: 8+
Price: Mass Audubon Members: Adult $8, Child $8; Nonmembers: Adult $10, Child $10
Location:
Mass Audubon Blue Hills Trailside Museum
Meet at the museum to learn a little about these strange birds before venturing out in search of a male bird displaying.
Because of its solitary habits and superb camouflage, the American Woodcock is nearly impossible to see, except during its breeding displays. These little birds are full of surprises.
Please dress for the weather, and be prepared for a short walk outside over mostly level but sometimes wet terrain. In case of bad weather, this program will be rescheduled to the same time on Saturday, April 6th. Registration is required in advance.
