HATCH: Intro to 3D Modeling for Kids
This workshop is designed specifically to make it easier for kids, ages 8-13, to get into 3D printing by learning how to make a 3D model using 3D CAD, with an overview of how to use a 3D printer to make designs into physical objects.
Participants use a free, browser-based application called SculptGL. This workshop is for children ages 8-13 who have basic computer skills. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring your own laptop and three-button mouse (left and right buttons + a scroll wheel in the middle) if you have one. Hatch has eight laptops and mice available on a first come, first served basis.
