Mayor Martin J. Walsh and Boston Parks and Recreation Commissioner Ryan Woods  join local residents and sports leagues to break ground on improvements to Garvey Park.

The celebration marks the beginning of a $5 million dollar, single-phase project. The project includes $785,000 of funding from the Community Preservation Act and a partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation specifically for accessibility and a dog park.
