International best-selling author and National Book Award finalist Sy Montogomery will discuss her latest book, How to Be a Good Creature, her memoir of the animals that transformed her life as a naturalist writer.

From her first dog, to two emus she met in the Australian Outback, to the giant Pacific octopus at the New England Aquarium, these 13 animals taught Montgomery the meaning of family, forgiveness and gratitude. In this talk, she will share poignant stories and images of how they shaped her life.
