Songs for the Earth: A Benefit Concert for Mass Audubon
Celebrate the power of music, storytelling, and sustainability at Songs for the Earth, a benefit concert supporting Mass Audubon’s educational programs. This inspiring afternoon brings together the arts and environmental action for the whole family.
Schedule of Events:

2:30 PM – Nature craft activity with SSC faculty

3:00 PM – Reading of The Tide is Rising, So Are We! by Rabbi Shoshana Meira Friedman

3:15 PM – Sustainability and chocolate presentation by Dr. Lori Shapiro of Sueños Cacao

4:00 PM – Concert, featuring the world premiere of a newly commissioned work by Christine Delphine Hedden (SSC String Chair), supported by the Gabriela Lena Frank Creative Academy of Music’s Composing Earth initiative.
The concert includes performances by guest artists Lindsay Straw, Kate Knudsvig, Kat Wallace, Corley Friesen-Johnson, Ariel Friedman, and Annick Odom.
5:00 PM – Stick around after the concert for a small market featuring music by the performers, Suenõs Cacao chocolate, and curated books from Book Love.
This free community event highlights the importance of diverse voices and talents in shaping a sustainable future. Donations are encouraged in support of Mass Audubon.
