Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day: A Caring Kids and Families Workshop

Explore some of the wisdom of Indigenous peoples, learn why this day matters, and reflect on how society can live in right relationship with the Earth and with one another.

Through storytelling, interactive activities, and games, families will have the opportunity to explore how Indigenous traditions inspire a strive for justice, compassion, and care for creation. The group will create a collective “Justice Promise” to guide how justice in the community, play a fun “Protect the Water” relay game, and honor the teachings of water protectors everywhere.

This workshop is designed for children ages 5–12 and their families, but all ages are welcome.
