Celebrate Hike Barnstable with BLT

In honor of National Trails Weekend and Great Outdoors® Month

NEW: Hiking Challenge for Kids and Adults

West Barnstable, MA – Celebrate Great Outdoors Month® as Barnstable Land Trust (BLT) kicks-off its annual Hike Barnstable programs this June. With support from Cape Cod Healthcare, program highlights include a lady slipper walk, a “tech and trail hike”, author talks, a Thoreau Community Readathon, several volunteer days, a beach clean-up, a solstice labyrinth walk, a Nordic walking clinic, a bog restoration program, and a day of field games and geocaching to celebrate the end of the school year. NEW this year: Join the Hike Barnstable Hiking Challenge for both children and adults.  Simply hike 5, 10, or 20 miles during the month to be eligible for special certificates, gifts (who doesn’t love a free ice cream cone?), and giveaways! Click here to download the Hike Challenge form.

About Hike BarnstableHike Barnstable returns this June in celebration of Great Outdoors Month: a nationally recognized celebration of America's public lands and waters and the many ways to enjoy them. Sponsored in part by Cape Cod Healthcare, BLT’s month-long celebration encourages people of all ages and abilities to get outside, get some fresh air, and explore the Town of Barnstable’s natural spaces through a wide range of activities, hikes, talks, and walks. With over a wide variety of programs to choose from, BLT’s Hike Barnstable invites everyone to experience nature.
