QBG’s First Weekend activities in April are all about herbs.

Schedule:

11am to 1pm: The Herbal Kitchen Workshop
$20-30 (includes Garden admission); registration required
Herbs create many fragrances and flavors that we use in food, cosmetics, perfumes, and medicines. Capture and preserve herbs to use in your kitchen.

1 to 2pm: Seasonal Garden Tour
Included with Garden admission; drop-in

2 to 4pm: American Eden Book Talk with Victoria Johnson
Included with Garden admission; registration required
Join author Victoria Johnson for a discussion of her new book, American Eden, covering the untold story of the personal physician of adversaries Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr, David Hosack, whose dream to build the nation’s first botanical garden inspired the young republic. American Eden will be available for sale in the QBG Gift Shop. Get your copy signed by the author at the end of the event.

2pm to 4pm: Activity Table will have botanical crafts with an herbal theme
