57th Annual Watermelon Festival

The Watermelon Festival serves up a ton of fun in its new location at the Hansen Dam Soccer Park Complex in Lake View Terrace. All day fun includes carnival rides and attractions, "The Watermelon Games" competition, entertainment, a Kids Zone, and more.
Free watermelon is in plentiful supply for all attendees.
This 57-year tradition that pays tribute to the early days when watermelons were the prized crop of the eastern San Fernando Valley foothills.
The festivities also include a marketplace with an array of eclectic arts & crafts exhibitors and vendor booths, carving demonstrations, a battle of the bands, and strolling performers. In addition to the carnival rides and midway games, kids can petting zoo, pony rides, children’s theater, magic shows, bubble parties, balloon hats & animals, melon racing/eating contests, games, crafts, and prizes. .
