Meet Harry, an orphan whose unpleasant relatives, the Dursleys, mistreat him and force him to sleep in a closet. But everything changes on Harry’s 11th birthday, when a mysterious bearded man delivers a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

A whirlwind of a journey ensues, complete with magic wands, flying brooms, and a dark force Harry must confront if he is to discover the truth about his past.

This film screening of the Harry Potter page-to-screen adaptation is followed by a five- to ten-minute discussion with JBFC Kids Curator Emily Ohara.
