February Break Fun at Sheldrake
The Sheldrake Environmental Center hosts a week of STEM-inspired fun with drop-off nature programs for all ages.
Programs include:
Animal Tracks & Traces in Winter: Monday, February 15 and Tuesday, February 16
Elementary-school aged kids can learn about animal tracks and make some of your own, then explore the grounds to find tracks of resident animals.
Winter Friends: Wednesday, February 17 and Friday, February 19
Geared toward ages 3-5, this program takes little ones on a walk through the grounds looking for winter birds. Participants also craft a pine cone bird feeder to attract some friends to your own backyard.
Fun With Snow and Ice: Thursday, February 18
Children ages 4+ play with the snow and ice covering the grounds, and perform some seasonal experiments before taking a winter nature walk.
