Summer Hoot Music & Nature Festival at the Ashokan Center

- see all dates
Enjoy three days of eclectic live roots music, restorative time in nature, and inter-generational community building at the Ashokan Center's Summer Hoot.
In addition to live music on two stages on Ashokan’s Hoot Hill, the Hoot offers all-day activities for children in the Kids Zone including daily kids’ parades, music workshops, blacksmithing demonstrations, garden walks with smoothie tastings, an instrument "petting zoo," guided hikes to Ashokan’s historic Cathedral Falls, and more.
Kids under 18 are free! Tickets, camping, lodging, and volunteer shifts are on sale now.
2024’s Summer Hoot lineup includes a wide range of genres from the upbeat jazz of Tuba Skinny straight from the streets of New Orleans, an astounding and diverse selection of singer/songwriters including Lake Street Dive’s Bridget Kearney, “You Were Meant For Me” Jewel-songwriting collaborator, Steve Poltz, and roots and folk music to include son jarocho, the music of Veracruz, Mexico.
