Sheep and Wool Festival

Held under leafy shade trees in Chestnut Ridge, this family-oriented community event features child-friendly craft activities, a petting zoo, live music, local craft vendors, and delicious food.
Scheduled craft activities include: carding fleece and spinning it to make a necklace; creating birds and bees with fleece; finger-knitting crowns from roving/fleece; making a pom-pom necklace; plant-dying a silk streamer. A small fee is charged for craft activities.
The silent auction features clothing and decorative items hand-made by friends and alumni of the Fiber Craft Studio. At the Studio Shop you will find for sale an array of natural materials and craft kits available nowhere else.
Admission and parking are free. A small fee is charged for activities.
All proceeds from this event benefit the educational programs of the Fiber Craft Studio.
** Please keep your family and others safe by wearing masks and social distancing. If an activity appears too crowded, try using the "nearby" search feature on our activity calendar to find something else to do.
